Celebrities, People and Scuba Divers
Josie Brunson loves the water and loves to go out on the dive boat, but actually, she can't swim or dive. I only got Josie to dive once in her entire life with the hard hat, in the Bahamas, on her birthday, October 23, 1985. She went halfway down the dive ladder and froze. The dive guides literally had to pry her hands from the ladder to get her to go to the bottom, but once she got down there, and saw that everything was safe, with beautiful warm water, clear visibility, and all kinds of fish and starfish, she lightened up and began to enjoy it. In some ways, Josie and I are opposites, but with most things, we are very compatible. Josie is pure blooded French, born in Normandy, France, and can speak seven (!) languages fluently, including French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portugese, and Bask. Her favorite pastime while growing up was ballet, which she practiced for much of her life. She has travelled the whole world most of her life, and often plays the role of mediator and ambassador wherever she goes. Josie is my wife of 16 years, and she is the most loving, giving, and generous person I know.
Josie says I hit the jackpot and won the lottery when I found her. I agree completely.

I first met Josie in Sacramento, California, at the Holistic Massage Therapy School. She was there with her good friend Ramone Talley. As the weeks and months went by at the massage therapy school, Josie, Ramone, and I became closer friends. We would go out for dinner and drinks after school, and even confetties for dancing. I remember one night when Josie invited me to a steak dinner with all the trimmings at Ramone's house, and got to my heart thru her fabulous cooking. Josie is also a connesieur with fine French wines and California wines from the Napa Valley. We would go there often on weekends and stay at Doctor Wilkinson's massage and health spa, and we would tour the wineries in the Napa Valley, like Beringer, Sutter Home, and Monticello vineyards. My favorite weekend was with Josie at Murphy's Inn, a bed and breakfast in Nevada City. We had a room on the second floor, with a large mosquito net over the bed. A giant vase of Beringer Port stood in the hallway, until I completely consumed it. That weekend we got snowed in, and while everyone else was busy putting their snow chains on their tire, Josie and I frolicked in the snow.
